Nissan Micra K11 Rear Exhaust Sports Box

Our Nissan Micra K11 Rear Sports Box is a direct replacement performance rear silencer, designed to provide a sportier exhaust note and appearance while retaining compatibility with the factory-style exhaust layout.

Manufactured from 2" stainless steel tubing and fully TIG welded, the Sports Box can be fitted to our own exhaust systems or factory-style exhaust systems using the original mounting locations.

Two versions are available to correctly position the exhaust tip depending on the rear bumper fitted to your K11.

Which Version Do I Need?

It is important to select the correct version for your rear bumper.

Pre-Facelift / 1st Facelift – 1993-1999

These models feature an exhaust cutout in the rear bumper.

The exhaust box and tip sit higher so that the tailpipe correctly passes through the factory bumper cutout.

2nd Facelift – 2000-2002

These models do not have an exhaust cutout in the rear bumper.

The exhaust box and tip therefore sit lower, positioning the tailpipe underneath the bumper rather than through it.

Ground Clearance Considerations

If ground clearance is a priority, particularly on a lowered vehicle, you may wish to select the Pre-Facelift / 1st Facelift version as this positions the exhaust higher.

However, when fitting this version to a 2000-2002 2nd Facelift bumper, the rear bumper will need to be trimmed to create an appropriate exhaust cutout.

Important – Potential Fitment Issues with Aftermarket Exhaust Systems

There is considerable manufacturing variation between replacement OE-style aftermarket K11 exhaust systems.

During the original development of our K11 exhaust range, we compared four different aftermarket centre sections side-by-side and no two were identical.

The most significant variation is usually found at the two-bolt flange near the rear axle, where the rear silencer attaches. Depending on the manufacturer, this flange can vary in its position, angle and rotation.

This is generally not noticeable when using a standard replacement rear silencer because the original-style tailpipe does not need to align precisely with a bumper cutout.

Our Sports Box uses a more defined tailpipe position, so these differences can become more noticeable.

When fitting our Sports Box to an OE-style aftermarket centre section, you may therefore find that the exhaust tip does not initially sit perfectly within the bumper cutout or underneath the bumper.

In most cases, minor alignment differences can be corrected by using different length exhaust mounting rubbers to adjust the final position of the rear silencer and tailpipe.

Using With Our Full Exhaust System

These alignment issues are typically not present when the Sports Box is fitted as part of our complete K11 stainless steel exhaust system.

Our centre section incorporates adjustment which allows the system to be correctly positioned during installation, providing considerably more control over the final tailpipe alignment.

Installation Notice

Due to the potential variation between existing exhaust systems, professional installation is recommended. Minor adjustment may be required when fitting to third-party or OE-replacement exhaust components.

This product is not intended for use on public highways and is intended for off-road, motorsport, competition or testing applications where permitted by applicable law.
